Matt joined the Executive Team having previously run his own successful businesses in recruitment, automotive and the agricultural sectors. Previously our Head of Recruitment, he continues to execute the expansion in our successful and growing group.

Dan Coombs
Director, Head of Global Sport Content
Dan Coombs has worked for GRV Media since 2012 and has helped the business grow its audience considerably during this period, while managing a team of writers. He has interviewed high profile names including Stuart Pearce and his work has been cited in Javier Hernandez’s biography. In addition to football, Dan is a big fan of the NFL and NBA.

Ed has been working in digital marketing since 2006, across all aspects of SEO, Social Media and Audience Development. When he’s not in work, he’s likely to be outdoors doing some kind of adrenaline fueled and dangerous sport.

Mareen Anthonipillai
Director, Head of Programmatic
Mareen has worked in the ad tech industry specialising in programmatic and revenue operations since 2012. Prior to joining GRV Media he has managed multiple teams globally for brands like Mail Online and Mumsnet. He is a big lover of sports including football and cricket where he got selected for Middlesex U17 trials. In his spare time, he likes gaming and watches football.

John Verrall
Director, Deputy Head, Global Sport Content
John has been with GRV Media for many years, starting out as a writer before taking on managerial roles at The Chelsea Chronicle and Arsenal Insider. He now manages a bigger number of football sites including Rousing The Kop and The Boot Room. He is an avid watcher of all sports and is a big Peterborough United fan.

Kieran has worked in journalism and digital publishing since late 2014, with a focused interest in editorial SEO and on-page optimisation. When not at work, you will usually find him searching for his ball on the nearest golf course.

Rogerio Amaral Junior
Head of Football Editorial and Digital Acquisition, Brazil
Rogerio Junior has been a sports journalist since 2011. He worked for more than 10 years at ESPN before joining GRV Media. Like most Brazilians, he is passionate about football and enjoys watching matches from around the world. In addition to writing, Rogerio also manages the team of journalist who write for GRV’s Brazilian websites.

Lewis Blain
Head of Emerging Content and Development
Lewis joined GRV Media in October 2023 after several years at Snack Media, where he started out as a writer before taking on assistant editor and academy manager roles for its flagship sites. He now oversees several emerging and developing sites. When not working, Lewis is watching his boyhood team Aldershot Town. And he also has an interest in golf and NFL.

Jordan Ellis
Head of Combat Sport
Jordan oversees Bloody Elbow, Bloody Slam and Bloody Knockout. He is an established and prominent figure in the world of mixed martial arts with previous in-depth interviews with some of MMA’s biggest stars, including Tom Aspinall, Michael Bisping, and Sean O’Malley. Before joining GRV Media, he was MMA Lead at talkSPORT.

Head of Scottish Football
Mark is our Head of Scottish Football. Previously working for the Scottish Sun and Herald Scotland, and then Deputy Editor at Football Scotland before joining GRV Media. His extensive knowledge of Scottish football places him well leading the likes of 67HailHail, Rangers News and Not the Old Firm.
