GRV Media is pleased to announce the appointment of Rogerio Do Amaral Junior as Head of Football Editorial & Digital Acquisition, Brazil.

Junior joins GRV from ESPN, where he worked for 10 years, lately as an Editor for the Group’s sports channels. He was previously a reporter at The Paulista Football Federation.

Dan Coombs, GRV’s Global Head of Sports Content, said: ‘We are delighted to have someone of Junior’s calibre heading up our football vertical in Brazil. He will build a team of up to 5 writers to cover the main teams in Rio de Janeiro and San Paulo. We will then be covering football in Brazil, USA, Saudi Arabia and the United Kingdom’.

GRV Media websites achieved in excess of 100,000,000 page views in August, with almost 25,000,000 unique users coming through its sites. Group Facebook likes also grew 16.2% during September to over 5,000,000.
