GRV Media is pleased to announce that it is establishing Futbolmundo.com, offering multilingual versions of EPL content for international audiences.

The website is launching its first country vertical in Portuguese, to appeal to the Brazilian football fan community. Futbolmundo will feature content on Brazilian players making their mark in the English Premier League, together with general content on the EPL’s top 6 clubs.

And GRV has hired Filipe Guedes Guimaraes. Based in Belo Horizonte, Filipe has had previous experience working as a journalist at Globo Esporte, Premierleaguebrasil.br, Esportudo and Esportes News Mundo. He will report to Rogerio Amaral Junior, who is also based in Brazil.

Filipe said: ‘I am delighted to be joining GRV Media at a time when they are looking to gain further traction in the online Brazilian football news market. There is a big demand here for news from the EPL, and a big interest in the progress of Brazilian players in Europe’s top league’.

Last month GRV Media announced the appointment of Rogerio Do Amaral Junior as Head of Football Editorial & Digital Acquisition, Brazil.

Junior joined GRV from ESPN, where he worked for 10 years, lately as an Editor for the Group’s sports channels. He was previously a reporter at The Paulista Football Federation.

GRV also made two additional hires to its Brazilian-based football content team earlier this month.

Henrique Toth graduated in 2018 from Universidade Mackenzie, and spent seven years working in Globo Esporte. Henrique covered Corinthians in the 2022 season and Palmeiras during the 2023 season.

Guilherme Mirra, is a passionate São Paulo fan. He has previously worked at ESPN, Sofascore and Opta / Stats Perform.

GRV will initially cover three of the top teams in Rio and São Paulo: Corinthians, São Paulo, and Palmeiras.
