GRV Media’s Four-Year Commitment: Empowering Street Child United’s Mission and Transforming Lives

1st August 2024 – London, UK

GRV Media, a leading digital media company, proudly celebrates its four-year partnership with Street Child United (SCU), a global charity dedicated to championing the rights of children living in street-situations worldwide. Their work is dedicated to ensuring all children, no matter their backgrounds, can demand the protection, support, and opportunities every child deserves. Through this collaboration, GRV Media has made substantial contributions to various SCU initiatives, significantly impacting individuals and communities.

GRV Media’s funding played a crucial role in providing medical support to Biel, a football coach associated with SCU in Brazil. Biel required extensive reconstruction surgery after a tragic incident where he was struck by a stray bullet. The timely financial assistance enabled Biel to undergo the necessary medical procedures, ensuring his health and continued contribution to the community through his coaching and mentorship.

In addition, GRV Media’s support has been instrumental in the development and success of SCU’s Young Leader Programme. This initiative is designed to empower former street children by providing them with essential skills and opportunities. Participants benefit from English tuition, leadership training, work experience, and community outreach projects. These self-starter projects, funded by SCU partners including GRV Media, equip young leaders with the tools needed to transform their lives and make positive contributions to their communities.

One of the standout stories from this partnership is the support provided to Sadock, a young man from Tanzania. Through GRV Media’s contribution to the SCU’s Education Fund, Sadock was able to pursue higher education at the University of the West of England in Bristol. This opportunity not only symbolises the breaking of cycles of poverty but also highlights the transformative power of education. Sadock’s journey from the streets of Tanzania to an esteemed academic institution in the UK is a testament to the life-changing impact of this initiative and the work of Street Child United.

GRV Media’s ongoing support reflects a deep commitment to addressing the challenges faced by street-connected children and youth. By backing SCU’s initiatives, GRV Media helps foster environments where these young individuals can thrive, develop essential life skills, and become advocates for change within their communities.

Vic Daniels, Co-founder, Executive Chairman at GRV Media said: ‘We are proud to support Street Child United’s vital work. This is a partnership that is very important to us. It’s imperative for a company like us to give something back. We look forward to continuing our support of the organisation for many years to come’.

‘We are immensely grateful for GRV Media’s unwavering support over the past four years. Their contributions have not only provided critical resources but also offered hope and new beginnings for many young people,’ said John Wroe, CEO of Street Child United. ‘Together, we are making a tangible difference, empowering the next generation to rise above adversity and build better futures.’
