Kieran Maguire is the pre-eminent expert on football finance. He has 20 years of experience in the industry and has been described as the ‘rain man of football finance’. He is a football finance lecturer at Liverpool University and author of the Price of Football, a seminal work in the field. His latest book, Unfit & Improper Persons, is an insightful and humorous dissection of football club ownership.

Kieran hosts the Price of Football podcast with comedian Kevin Day, which investigates the money behind the beautiful game, and he also worked with the likes of the League Managers’ Association and Professional Footballer’s Association in developing and delivering courses for their members, as well as producing research papers for the UK Government.
