Verrall, who has been at GRV Media since leaving university some 7 years ago, recently took on management responsibility at Arsenal Insider and The Chelsea Chronicle. Under his tenure, both sites have seen record user highs. GRV Media has also recently used his experience to great effect on other group sites.
John reports to Dan Coombs, GRV Media’s Global Head of Sports Content. Coombs said: ‘It always sends a strong message when we are able to promote an outstanding member of the team, and John has really risen to the challenge. He has impressed us all with his strong work ethic, ability to manage and motivate his teams, and lead by example. He is an excellent role model’.
John said: ‘I was glad to be given the additional responsibility at GRV Media, and the variety it provides for my day-to-day work. The company has grown significantly since I first joined, and I’m delighted that I’ve been able to grow with it’.
GRV group page views and users saw further growth in Q2 across our network of sites compared to Q1. During the second-quarter 280m visitors came to our own and partner sites, consuming 450m page views.
Throughout Q2 GRV continued to strengthen many of our teams, making a number of key hires across Operations, Programmatic / AdOps, Tech and Content.
